About me…

I’m Toyah, 27 and a Leo.
I recently completed a degree in Live Event Management at ICMP (The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance). By January ’26, I’ll officially hold a bachelor’s degree! Over 3 years, I studied everything from marketing and stage production to copyright law and contract negotiation – essentially, all the start-up elements needed to succeed in the world of live touring.
Since ’21, I worked as a press photographer with The Honey POP, combining my love for live music and photography. Then since ’25, I chose to take the dive and become more independent.
I deliberately chose not to study photography formally as I didn’t want the structure to take away the spark. Instead, I pursued a path that let my passion for concerts and storytelling thrive together.

My first press show? Yungblud (still a pinch-me moment!) at an O2 Academy in London. Since then, I’ve progressed to photographing arena tours across London and southern England. Alongside photography, I’ve written ‘Live Exclusive’ reviews, in-depth essays, single reviews, and fan-driven think pieces and quizzes.
Since then, I’ve started working independently alongside my press work, a leap made possible by years of experience and reputation-building (I had to prove my reliability). It’s led me to some surreal opportunities, like photographing my favourite bands and helping out with the ‘Busted vs. McFly’ tour announcement, I still can’t quite wrap my head around that one!

I’ve dabbled in many areas of the music industry, I have been in a couple of music videos, I have hosted and ran my own music events, and I’m always at shows – regardless of if I’m photographing or not.

The music industry has always called to me. I’ve grown up around music, and vividly remember starting my own music taste when I was about 5 years old. I have been immersed in the depths of fan culture and stan Twitter, and through growing up, I’ve realised how much I just love the industry as a whole – it’s almost like a second home to me, you will have to bury me with a setlist and a guitar pick.
As a queer woman myself, I’ve always felt strongly about representation in the music industry. There aren’t enough women or LGBTQ+ people – and certainly not enough LGBTQ+ women in the room. So, I’ve made it part of my mission to show up proudly, and to help carve out more space for people like me.

Thanks for stopping by. I’m just getting started.
